On the south coast of France, in Provence, between Marseilles and Toulon, the villa of Mas Carignan is nearby the village of Le Beausset.

Just 10 km and 10 minutes by car from the Mediterranean sea.

Mas Carignan is at Le Beausset Vieux, a quiet, unspoilt hilltop to the south of Le Beausset, and is within easy reach of the shops, markets, beaches and restaurants.
Le Beausset itself is located just north of Bandol (between Marseilles and Toulon) and south of Aix-en-Provence. Le Beausset Vieux consists only of the chapel and a number of houses scattered in the pines. The house is close to, but a few hundred feet below, the chapel, and is itself about 800 feet above sea level.

The house can be reached in various ways:

CarLe Beausset lies a few miles from the autoroute A50 running between Marseille and Toulon. The nearest junction is at La Cadiere/Le Castellet. The journey time from Paris, all autoroute, is some 8 hours.

Train & CarThe motorail and overnight sleeper from Paris or Boulogne/Calais can be taken to Avignon or Marseille. The T.G.V. from Paris or Lille to Marseille takes about 3 hours and you can connect to this from the Eurostar train from Waterloo. A local train runs between Marseille and Bandol.

AirThe international airport at Marseille and the domestic airport at Toulon are about equidistant from the house and about an hour away by car. There is a "shuttle" coach service between the airport and the main railway station (St. Charles) at Marseille. Nice airport is about 2 hours away by car.
